District Governor Ramona Sago

As a member of the Western Monongalia Co. Area Lions club, District Governor Ramona is both diligent in her club and committed to the services of Lions.  She joined Lions in March of 2009 after twenty years of serving as secretary for the Battelle District Fair.   She actively protects the rights and welfare of the elderly.

Aside from being a Lion, District Governor Sago and her husband raise beef cattle on their farm.   She loves gardening and received her Masters of Gardening Certificate in August 2020 from LSU Ag Department.   She also takes care of her aging father who resides with them.

In recognition of her services to the association,  she has received numerous awards:   On-Line Club Secretary Excellence Reporting,   Leonard Jarrett,   Melvin Jones Fellow,   Lion’s Leadership Award,   International President’s Certificate of Appreciation,   and the International President’s Award.

Ramona was born in Nicholas Co., WV and was raised in Wadestown, WV.   She graduated from Clay-Battelle High School in 1978.
